Here, I’ll keep you laughing: Actually, the Steelers Superbowl XLIII parade drew an estimated 3, people. The Penguins Stanley Cup Championship parade drew an estimated 375, fans.
Yeah I know the Phillies world series celebration drew like 8 million. I’m sure if Pittsburgh hadn’t won a major sports championship in the previous 25+ years (like Philly), the turnout would’ve been stronger. Championships are a bit quotidian in PGH.

You also have to look at population between cities like Philly and Pittsburgh. 375k people showed up for the Pens parade, and Pittsburgh only has 33k city pop. (2.5 mill metro area) and Philly has roughly 1.5 mill city pop. and 5.8mill metro area. I sure would hope their parades would be bigger than ours lol. Oh, and to answer your question on how our celebrations were…they were quite wonderful, thank you. I’m glad you finally got to experience one of your own in your lifetime

Ya know…I did use the wrong term. It wasn’t a slew foot…but what I saw was Kunitz pushing on the back of Richard’s knee with his stick. That contributed to Richards losing control.
If anything…someone from Pitt should have gone after Richards I’d think…but you can even see Fleury isn’t upset about the collision.

Yep…Hartnell did grab him…which is what any good teammate would do. Hartnell’s conduct is questionable at times…but every team needs a character that pushes the envelope…that other teams love to hate. so be it.
And every player in the NHL goes full bore at the net…and can stop when they’ve got 2 feet under them. He would have avoided major contact with Fleury had the stick to the knee not happened. Guess we’ll see what happens next game.

I can’t say he didn’t say, “MOP HEAD”, but when one player displays “leadership” by running through the goalie and another players ‘bites’ someone and goes back in to the pile to rough more players, the frustration is going to show.
