Woo Hoo! Can’t wait to see him on ice again getting superstar treatment. Till Max is back Disco Dan is looking to utilize Chris Bourque. Chris was skating with 2nd line during Friday’s practice. I am on the boat!
Sid with the Cup

Apparently Canes are really proud of their shootout loss to defending Stanley Cup champions. Canes goalie Cam Ward received main praise for his great saves during the game. Ward did play an excellent game and had lots of great saved. I do believe that Bill Guerin shot should have been a goal as the puck clearly crossed the red line inside Wards glove. I am not going to cry about it Penguins won and stay unbeaten on the road! Enjoy. (more…)

[Unnamed] Steelers Pregame Show. Game 6

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Enjoy this video of Tec (psamp.com) and Cotter (one4theotherthumb.com) talking nonsense about Steelers. It seems as if they totally have no clue what they are talking about but don’t let it fool you. This video was based on endless hours of research and all the predictions made in this video are to be considered 99.99% accurate.

After you are done watching this video here head over to psamp.com and watch it for the second time. After that head over to one4theotherthumb.com to watch it for the third time. At this point you should be ready for the surprise popup quiz on the video. And no, its not multiple choice questions. You actually have to write in your answers so pay close attention!

Also Steelers fan might find recent Cotter’s interview with Ziggy Hood to be refreshing. Enjoy.

Enforcers, Goons, Scrappers, Pugilisters, and Pests. Plus Pens vs Leafs Videos!

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Hockey without fighting is like making love without foreplay. There are many reasons to fight during a hockey game. Some reasons are related to game play, such as retaliation, momentum-building, intimidation, deterrence, attempting to draw “reaction penalties”, and protecting star players. There are also some personal reasons such as retribution for past incidents, bad blood between players, and simple job security for enforcers. NHL fights are governed by a complex system of unwritten rules that players, coaches, officials agree upon. This is also known as “the code”. These fights are also a subject to a fighting etiquette. Most of the NHL fights involve designated team fighters that are also known as enforcers, goons, scrappers, and or puglisters. I have a great deal of respect for Eric Godard, current Pens enforcer.

Consol Energy Center 4 months ahead of schedule and Mario Lemieux Statute

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

According to lead architect Consol Energy Center (CEC) construction is well ahead of the schedule. If all goes well the CEC should be ready before scheduled date, August 1st 2010, to open. There have been many hints during press conferences that there are plans on putting up a statute of my dad in front of the CEC. A well deserved memorial for the greatest hockey player of all time and greatest man alive. Some unconfirmed rumors have been spreading that Philadelphia is looking to remove the statue of Rocky since Pittsburgh was named the City Of Champions. I think i know where this is going … read all about it here.

Another win for Penguins over Senators … Video Highlights and Isles Ice Girls!

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Great game for Penguins last night. 4-1 win over Ottawa Senators. Senators have been doing pretty good this season taking on teams that didn’t make the playoffs last year. However, they were not able to do anything against Pens on Monday night. Worth mentioning that both Sid and Geno were pointless in this game. Just goes to show how much talent Penguins have on their team. Bill Guerin with a huge goal just seconds after Senators first and only goal of the game. TK with 2 goals and Jordan Staal continues his 3 game goal streak. Fluery still flawless this season with 5 games and 5 wins! GO MAF!

As a special treat i am also throwing in inspirational words of wisdom from Dan Bylsma as the players heard them before the first season game against the Strangers. Clip was split into 2 parts since YouTube has maximum 10 minutes video limit. Enjoy and you are welcome!

So, I’ll start at the end … the verdict. Evgeni Malkin aka Geno aka MVP is 100% Russian Jew. Guilty as charged. Here is his mugshot below.

Fall to Coyotes, Pizza, Flyers Tonight, Belorussian Topless Tennis!

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Pens lose Coyotes 3-0. Fleury had a night off although i don’t think it was Brent Johnson’s fault for this shutout. He was able to stop 22 out of 24 shots on goal. Sid had a night off as well … here he is taking a nap on ice …
