Ben Lovejoy was on the ice with Penguins for the morning practice skate. Glad to see he finally came to his senses and decided to join us. We expect great things from him, and this is his chance to finally show us what he has got. In other words no pressure! Worst case scenario is you are going to get injured in your first NHL game. What are the chances of that happening?
Maybe you’ll get trapped in the trapezoid behind the net and then get hit in the head. Yeah take that NHL! Keep your head up Ben and don’t suck.
Being that 25% of Penguins roster is out with injuries this brings more paranoid thoughts creeping up in my mind. Physical Game! I love to watch Pens play physical game, hits, checks, fights, everything. It gives their game another edge and takes it to the next level. You gotta get in opponents face, be physical, wear them out, drop your gloves if you have to. Penguins need this physical game now more than ever. We can’t let all the injuries scare our players from playing physically. I am willing to bet if Penguins play physically tonight against the Devils there will be no shutout. Pens will score some goals. And yes i am going to say this and try to believe myself … Pens will kick devils ass! LETS GO PENS!
