5-2 Pens over Ducks, as the Penguins AHL defensive group shutdown Ducks top line which is considered to be one of the NHL’s finest offensive units. It was Ryan Getzlaf, Bobby Ryan and Corey Perry vs Ben Lovejoy, Deryk Engelland and Nate Guenin. Great job kids!
Bill Guerin was the man again. This time ending the streak of 30 consecutive unsuccessful power plays. Also dropping gloves in the 3rd against Getzlaf.
Deryk Engelland, who was called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Nov. 7, recorded his first NHL point, an assist. Jordan Staal with his signature shorty. Matt Cooke with 2 goals, first and last one of the game. Good news all around.
Maxime Talbot might be returning for the game on Thursday against Ottawa Senators. Hopefully he will be getting his usual superstar treatment unlike his latest A&L Motor Sales commercial. According to PSAMP Maxime’s commercial was pulled from the air because it was using officially licensed Penguins logos without proper permissions.
