in my attempt to push the boundaries of english language and due to laziness of using my pinkie finger to hold down shift key i am going to ignore capitalization in this post. it has been a very fruitful weekend for the pens. they have been reaping the fruits of depth on their team against flyers and leafs. there hasn’t been a better time for our boys to step up and say enough is enough. with evgeni malkin still out with a foot injury and sergei gonchar out with some mysterious “sickness” hcdb used “tactical stratigery” to overwhelm the opponent on home ice. one of the reoccurring themes was present in every game this weekend … hcdb in cahoots with maf allows a garbage goal in the beginning of the 1st period in order to get the team going. as the result is the 4-1 win against the flyers and 5-4 win against toronto maple leafs. with devils losing to flyers last night pens are sitting on the top of atlantic division. hero of the week as much as i want to say matt cooke for keeping the pens alive in the game against the leafs i am going to go with pascal the birth canal since i have a funny picture to go along with that. of course can’t give pascal dupuis too much credit to keep him on his toes so i will continue to hate up on him. pascal great shootout goal but you still suck even if you are so awesome.

Geno Dapper Dan Award, Videos Blog, Flying Penguins!
Friday, March 26th, 2010We here at PensHead.com (read that as only one guy hitting his head against the wall) are very excited to feature this ‘at unreal’ video of Evgeni Malkin accepting Dapper Dan award. First off, ‘at amazing’ introduction by head coach Dan Bylsma made Geno feel like he is a school boy desperately looking for teachers approval. Then Geno took the stage opening in Russian … first thing he said “Good evening to all, ladies and gentlemen”. Then as any respectable Russian politician Geno pulled out a piece of paper and started reading his speech. He was cracking jokes left and right “… Coach ask3d m3 not to use words Max taught m3 in my speech’. He was also cracking jokes when he didn’t even know himself, ’I am a gr3atful to all of my t3amat3s and 3v3ryone in Pittsburgh organization for h3lp m3, i would not hav3 b33n abl3 to hav3 such a SEXFUL without 3ach of th3m’. Pens VS Caps And More!

Going into yesterday’s game against the Caps without our Russian Rocket boys was sure to be a big disaster of Chernobyl proportions. Caps were hungry and were ready to check out early in the third.
However, JStaal thought otherwise giving Pens an extra point late in the third. Flower was morning-glory-solid-hard despite the outcome of the shootout. Was great to see Talbot pick up a goal, i guess that training video is finally paying off. BillyG picked up his 19th goal of the season on PP. Pens played good enough game to make Ovie sad who said after the game, “I think he [Theodore] saved us most of the time this game. I think we didn’t play our game at all. Jose keeps us in the game and it’s nice when we can win when we don’t play well.” Orpik who put a cannon ball on Talbot’s stick was frustrated without a “W”. I must admit Pens haven’t been winning much lately but taking Caps who are leading East Conference to overtime and shootout without Malkin and Gonchar still feels really good. Getting Alex Ovechkin to admit his team wasn’t as hot against the Pens this game … priceless!

Favorite Hockey Movies
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010Now, i don’t watch TV since i am fed up with all the stupid commercials trying to make you think you need to buy their stuff because it will improve your quality of life. Let me be the first one to tell you, it won’t! Now just because i don’t watch TV don’t assume i don’t like any form of entertainment. I love movies. Who doesn’t? I love them so much that i download them on constant basis and watch them for free. Don’t blame me you’d do it as well if you knew how. Anyhow, recently i came across a few hockey movies and i thought i’d share some of my favorites with you, the reader.
First place takes the movie called The Rocket about French Canadian player Maurice Richard who played for Montreal Canadiens. Now this movie was kind of an oxymoron for me. I watched the version which had both French and English languages mixed up into it. Since the movie is about struggles of discrimination that French Canadian players faced in NHL, having to read subtitles for the French parts of the movie just made me hate them that much more. However, the movie makes up for this during scenes where Sean Avery gets punched in the face repeatedly, thats more than once. If there is one hockey movie worth paying for this would be it.
Second place goes to Youngblood. I like this movie for the simple fact that it promotes the idea that hockey players get laid a lot. I mean look at Crosberry, that guy crushes mad pussy all the time. This movie gets thumbs down for showing Rob Lowe parading around in nothing but his jockstrap. However, it does make up for it with the scenes when Youngblood porks Mrs. Robinson, who was still a little engine that could, and then skillfully switches his game over to the coaches daughter. Do yourself a favor and do not look up recent pictures of Miss McGill who was played by Fionnula Flanagan … you will be deeply disappointed and your boner is going to hate you. I wouldn’t recommend spending money on this movie but worth the few clicks to download and check out Patrick Swayze get flattened on the ice. On top of that Keanu Reeves is in this movie with like 1 line. Amazing!
All time favorite is the Slap Shot takes the third place. This movie is filled with hard hits, bench clearing and all time classic wisdom of life. Best part of the movie is by far the Hanson Brothers. There are also part with a pair of perky nipples. Its a win/win situation to watch this classic movie. Go download it right now and stop slacking.
If you have favorite hockey movies post them in the comments. Do not say Tooth Fairy or Mighty Ducks I, II, or III because i am going to hurt you physically.

PSAMP, Pens Vs Canes, Geno For Steelers, WBS Pens Win Again!
Sunday, March 21st, 2010Can not believe i am blogging on the weekend. Its insane my levels of dedications to this thing. While other two bloggers for this blog can’t even remember how to spell peansheed.com. All i can say is its time to jump back on the bandwagon again ladies. Playoffs are just around the corner.
You can feel the madness surrounding the air around. You can see it in the players eyes. You can smell their sweat and tears through the TV screens and Radio feeds. NHL Playoffs are by far the best time of the year. That being said some of us are getting ready for playoffs in different ways. Tec from psamp.com had committed to not getting a hair cut till the Pens win another cup this year. Here is the current state of his hair which according to his twitter hasn’t been cut since Thanksgiving.
Dude why is there a hedgehog on your head?! WTF?!
I am going to commit to grow playoff beard in a trimmed fashion. Times like these remind me why things would have been so much easier if i was just an Italian lady.
This brings us to the Pens vs Canes game. Certainly Canes were playing with the playoff spirit. Last second overtime goal brought back memories of when Bill Guerin scored against Bruins with 0.4 seconds left in the game to force game into overtime. Only minor difference here is that Pens lose … no biggie right? Wrong!
Wondering if Canes are becoming the Devils in their ability to win games against the Pens. Pens lost last 3 games to the Canes and therefore giving Canes the benefit of cheering “You Can’t Beat Us!” As far as the Devils go would be nice to get Aleksey Morozov back who haunted Brodeur’s worst nightmares earning him the title of “The Devil Killer“. On another hand we have Evgeni Malkin who could easily become “The Canes Killer” after his spectacular performance against North Carolina in the last playoffs. Geno is not too shabby in the regular season against the Canes. In 4 games he has earned 4 points – 2 goals and 2 assists.

Penguins earn their first shutout of the season with MAF between the pipes against Bruins. Boston Bruins were so hyped up and focused on getting revenge on Matt Cooke their forgot the most important thing … HOW TO PLAY HOCKEY! Only thing that could have gone better is if Geno was playing and Cookie scored a goal. Not complaining really. Not even going to post the fight between Cooke and Thornton … just want to get this all over with. Not sure what Mike Rupp was thinking fighting Chara but i don’t think he landed a single punch on Chara’s face … it was just too far away.

Thursday, March 18th, 2010Penguins’ Sawyer to Retire on August 31 and Morehouse to Take Over as CEO/President read here.
Penguins center Evgeni Malkin just finished addressing reporters at TD Garden. He said that he will miss his second straight game tonight against the Bruins. Malkin hopes to return to the lineup on Saturday when the Carolina Hurricanes invade Mellon Arena.
Will HCDB put Eric Godard on ice for Bruins game to make sure no one is being too naughty? Here is what Eric had to say …

March 17th, 2010 Pens Vs Devs In Pictures And More
Thursday, March 18th, 2010If there was only one picture i had to pick out to describe yesterday’s game between Penguins and Devils then this would be it. Kuni looking down in dismay, Gonch picking his nose, and Talbot doing god-knows-what. 5-2 Devils win and shutout Penguins this season 6-0.
Geno was out so Brooks Orpik took on an “A”.
Fleury once again was star stuck by Marty and had to sit this one out on the bench.
And we were so hopeful and happy before the game started. It was still light out thanks to Daylight Saving!
St. Patty’s Day spirit was in the air.
The Penguins live on ice and Devils live in hell.
Marty was still looking kind of fat taking away most of the net.
The Rock experienced shortage of Chicken Tenders and Hot Dogs primarily because Marty’s brother was present at the game.
D.M.C. from Run DMC also came out to show his support to the Devil.
Every Devils fan passing by spat on this jersey.
Massive Johnson had no clue what was to come at this point.

The game … sucked. There was a time when Penguins was supposed to be up 3-1 but NHL officials didn’t agree with us. If we go by amount of Lets Ge Pens vs Lets Go Devils chants then Pens would be up 53 – 1. Everytime Devs fans started chanting we’d kindly remind them that they still live in New Jersey … they started crying. Highlight of the game was meeting and sharing a smoke with Malkinmania guy. Its unreal how the world can be changed when Malkinmania meets Malkin Militia and PSAMP. According to string theory it will only take a little while to propagate.
