5idney Cr0(+1)sby Sucks In Last Game Of The Season

Following my return from Pittsburgh was a relatively quiet game on Saturday against the Atlanta Thrashers. 1-0 Pens lost. WBS Pens clinched a playoff spot night before beating Albany River Rats! WBS Pens first playoff game takes place on Wed at 7:00 PM against the River Rats. Interestingly enough at exactly the same time Pittsburgh Penguins will be facing Ottawa Sens. So put down your scissors and your razors and let the playoff games begin!

More about last game of the season which took place in NY against the Islanders. First off let me say that if NY Islanders are missing two Chipotle T-Shirts from giveaway for section 330 or two cups of dots icecream from unattended and unlocked concession stand well then MouthFullOfTang and I have no clue what happened to them.

Judging from all the Penguins jerseys i saw around arena on Sunday this was truly a Penguin Invasion. Pens fans from all over gather to witness Crosby take a poop on Alex Ovechkin and win that Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy.

What happened to Ovie!? Do you remember not that long ago when he was leading NHL in at least 3 stats? Most Goals, Most Points, Highest + rating? Looking at the stats for the end of the season Ovie is nowhere to be found. Good to see he really stepped up his game.

Anyway, we had to get ready for this memorable moment in Sid’s career and whats better than to create a Sidney Crosby Sucks sign!?

When Sid scored his 50th goal we pulled out this bad boy and started chanting Crosby Sucks … Nassau Coliseum was stunned!

As a tradition we bring you the best of  hockey on Long Island in this opening ceremony: Ice Girls and EVGENI MALKIN!!!

Worth mentioning that Eric Tangradi was playing like a beast. Even though he was pointless he played hard and stood out during the game on many occasions. Good job Eric!

Leo with the game winner in OT  continues to be hot hot hot! Lets hope he can bring this momentum over to playoffs.

weekend hockey

in my attempt to push the boundaries of english language and due to laziness of using my pinkie finger to hold down shift key i am going to ignore capitalization in this post. it has been a very fruitful weekend for the pens. they have been reaping the fruits of depth on their team against flyers and leafs. there hasn’t been a better time for our boys to step up and say enough is enough. with evgeni malkin still out with a foot injury and sergei gonchar out with some mysterious “sickness” hcdb used “tactical stratigery” to overwhelm the opponent on home ice. one of the reoccurring themes was present in every game this weekend … hcdb in cahoots with maf allows a garbage goal in the beginning of the 1st period in order to get the team going. as the result is the 4-1 win against the flyers and 5-4 win against toronto maple leafs. with devils losing to flyers last night pens are sitting on the top of atlantic division. hero of the week as much as i want to say matt cooke for keeping the pens alive in the game against the leafs i am going to go with pascal the birth canal since i have a funny picture to go along with that. of course can’t give pascal dupuis too much credit to keep him on his toes so i will continue to hate up on him. pascal great shootout goal but you still suck even if you are so awesome.

Defense!? We don’t need no stinky Defense!

Jay McKee

Latest and greatest news is in. Possibly some black magic and foul play is at hand here. It comes as no real surprise anymore, Jay McKee, is out 2-4 weeks with infected finger. Not really sure what Jay McKee needs his finger for to block shots but whatever. Who is left?

Sergei Gonchar is out.

Brooks Orpik is out.

Kris Letang is out.

Mark Eaton is the only man standing! Its true that our AHL boys have been doing pretty well backing up Pens during these tough time. However, who really needs defense!? We have so much scoring power with Sid and Geno we can outscore any and all the mistakes we make defensively. As Geno would have said: “Score Everybody!”

Bill Guerin is on the roll!

WHAT THE HELL!? Even Pascal Dupuis is on the roll!

In case you didn’t know i am a big promoter of randomly requesting Penguins fans on Facebook. Its all good because its done under my slogan of “Penguins Fans Unite!” Every so often i come across some amazing fans out there.  I am always pleasantly surprised by amount of talent, dedication, and passion fans out there have for their team. Consol Energy Center 4 months ahead of schedule and Mario Lemieux Statute

According to lead architect Consol Energy Center (CEC) construction is well ahead of the schedule. If all goes well the CEC should be ready before scheduled date, August 1st 2010, to open. There have been many hints during press conferences that there are plans on putting up a statute of my dad in front of the CEC. A well deserved memorial for the greatest hockey player of all time and greatest man alive. Some unconfirmed rumors have been spreading that Philadelphia is looking to remove the statue of Rocky since Pittsburgh was named the City Of Champions. Nobody makes me bleed my own blood!

We all know that most successful teams in NHL actually know how to play as a team. Something Ovie needs to learn. We also know that if you play as a team on and off the ice then you win Stanley Cups. Something Hossa needs to learn. We also know that there are teams in NHL that shouldn’t even exist. Something Philly needs to learn. Ready for the best part of the story? Playing as a team involves a lot of ass kicking and or getting your ass kicked!
