Yeah keep talking shit because you don’t have much of anything else to bring forward. Sens like a bunch of circus monkeys tried to put on a show for their home crowd and miserably failed. They only thing they manged to accomplish is injure Tyler Kennedy. TK suffered right leg injury after hit by Andy Sutton in the first period. Hockey wise Sens couldn’t accomplish much against the Pens irresistible force. In fact 2 of their goals was scored in 5-on-3 situation. As promising Versus statistics suggested Sens had no chance, Pens 7-0 this season when both Crosby and Malkin score. At the end of the 3rd period Ruutu’s last resort tactic of blowing officials did not yield much result. 7-4 Pens win and are leading series 3-1.
Pens are headed home to end this freak show on home ice. Andy Sutton considering career alternatives as a golf expert. Btw, Crosby still sucks …
Foleys atmosphere was unreal last night with exception of some new kids whose hate for Devils this season have clouded their vision and their cheer for Flyers was completely uncalled for. Let me remind you hating Devils is not the same as cheering for Flyers. Know your enemy! Don’t know about ya’ll but i want to face Devils in the playoffs and stick it up to them. Sign ideas include … “You can’t beat us in the playoffs”. I am happy to report that Pens flag above Foleys was once again flying yesterday before the game. Big thanks to Shaun owner of Foley’s Pub.
Jim Shearer who caught a break from his busy working schedule was at Foley’s as well. Sure enough he came out with a new hilarious episode of Yniz Luv Da Guins. I am glad he wasn’t the only Penguin fan on the cruise.
Optional skate today at 1pm showed who wants to get some ice time … Seven Penguins participated in the optional practice at Mellon Arena. Those that laced up the skates are Matt Cooke, Ben Lovejoy, Eric Godard, Ruslan Fedotenko, Deryk Engelland, Brent Johnson and Brad Thiessen. The rest of the Penguins took a well deserved break.
Jordan Staal nominated for Selke Trophy but as Seth from EmptyNetters puts it Staal has no chance of winning it since its “… almost seems like a Gold Glove in baseball. You can seemingly only win it if you’ve won it before. If that makes sense.”

Lots of talk about new 3rd alternative jerseys for Penguins that will be coming out later this year. Quote taken from here.
New alternate jersey It’s been widely rumored and now Reebok is confirming that the Penguins will ditch their powder blue thirds in favor of a new alternate uniform for 2010-11. Once again, the manufacturer hasn’t released any details of the design.
However, Tribune-Review beat writer Rob Rossi said in December that blue would be returning in some fashion to the new third jersey. It’s probably a safe bet that the Pens will dig into their past once again for this sweater — likely going with one of the darker blue options.
The home and road jerseys will stay the same.
Another High School Pens Video … don’t these kids have like classes and homework to do or something?
Penguins earn their first shutout of the season with MAF between the pipes against Bruins. Boston Bruins were so hyped up and focused on getting revenge on Matt Cooke their forgot the most important thing … HOW TO PLAY HOCKEY! Only thing that could have gone better is if Geno was playing and Cookie scored a goal. Not complaining really. Not even going to post the fight between Cooke and Thornton … just want to get this all over with. Not sure what Mike Rupp was thinking fighting Chara but i don’t think he landed a single punch on Chara’s face … it was just too far away.
WBS Pens winning in OT 5-4 against the Springfield after being down 4-1 in the second period. Chris Conner with a goal to tie the game and Deryk Engelland with a game winner. Good job boys! Here are some pics from the game … http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=147485&id=25795361383&ref=nf
@WBSPenguins Pens wearing their GO RED FRIDAY jerseys tonight to support local military members.
Speaking of the history, boys on the Pens radio mentioned “The Save” by Frank Pietrangelo … Pens back up goalie during 1991 Stanley Cup playoffs.
@pghpenguins http://twitpic.com/19l4ng – Want a look at the frame for the new Jumbotron coming to the Consol Energy Center?
Geno has been practicing. However, this is what he said about today’s game. ”My chances are not 100 percent. We play at 1 p.m. (Saturday) which is bad for me because we don’t have a morning skate. I do have a chance though.” http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=521998
Thanks to Seth from EN we know what today’s give away will be. MINISTICKS!!! HAT TRICK TIME BABY!!!
Psycho Hockey Lady broke down the code for blogging about Puck Bunnies … kind of entertaining … http://www.psycholadyhockey.com/tips-for-writing-about-puck-bunnies/ So remember kids next time you see a girl at the game being in heat over Letang’s Sex Hair know that she might actually know more about hockey than you!

Remember that team we all know and love? No, not USA, Canada, Russia, or even Belarus. The PITTSBURGH PENGUINS! Remember them?!?!?! Well, just to remind you of something that brings us all together, rather than ignites crazy nationalistic arguments, here is Jim Shearer’s latest episode of Yinz Luv Da Guins:
Jim Shearer was in the house again last night at Foley’s with the Meetup group, catching up with us all, seeing how we spent our summers as Champions. Ok, so maybe we’re not really Champions, but still… ya know. We all did some pretty epic stuff since the last time he saw us. Check it out:
